There is a song covered by “The Devil Makes Three” called “Working Man’s Blues”. This song is an older Americana/Folk song that really speaks of the conditions we are living in today. Take a listen:It is only going to get worse. We now have bankers publically looting the public’s funds. What kind of messed up nonsense is this? How much longer do we have until behavior like this a little closer to home? How will this affect the global economy, as we are all interconnected, and somewhat interdependent? Here is a nice link explaining the banking crisis in Cyprus, but this isn’t isolated to only Cyprus, as shown here. New Zealand is planning a similar operation!

When you read the title of this post, you may feel a little saddened to think that another married couple has thrown in the towel. Don’t be sad! Our love for each other is so deep that it can withstand nearly anything. What I am referring to in the title of this post is a divorce from this world; this system of things we find ourselves in.
The word divorce is usually meant as a legal end to marriage. However, it is also defined as a separation:
1: the action or an instance of legally dissolving a marriage2:separation, severance <divorce of the secular and the spiritual>

I think it is time to go. I really don’t know how much more God wants me to witness before he expects me to leave. There is a storm on the horizon, and anyone who sees such a storm would do well to move out of its path.
Things in America, and the Western world are quickly deteriorating, and I worry about the safety of my family. I’ve been filled with a inexplicable burning desire to move from where I am now. I feel that God is planting this desire in me in order to protect me and my family.
I pray every day for God to grant me the foresight to protect and provide for my family. There are so many dangers in the world today and it only seems to be getting worse.
I realize this post doesn’t follow the standard voice of my other posts, and seems rather erratic. This is something I’ve been considering for quite some time. My wife and I are fully ready to pack up what we can and move from any urban area to a relatively safer place.
The only real question is where to go. I am not a land owner, and therefore have many apprehensions and insecurities about leaving the comfort and familiarity of where we are. I must keep reminding myself, Jehovah-Jireh (God will provide). However, this is easier said than done.
I need some help from my readers. I am facing a small crisis, and need some spiritual advice, or comfort. I am torn between my corporeal self and my spiritual self.; I am having difficulty letting go of the dreams and goals of a husband, a father, and a human and turning to what my spiritual self is being driven to. I can easily justify in the short term, but it is difficult for me to predict how I can sustain my family’s needs in the long term. Can any of you provide any scriptural guidance?

I, along with many other people, have developed an instant gratification mindset which seems to permeate throughout our entire lives. I expect changes now, and like the proverbial frog in the water, didn’t notice the water heating up; the water is hot now. The water is very hot.
We, as Americans and Westerners have enslaved ourselves. There is no other way around that simple fact. We have enslaved ourselves in body, mind, and spirit. Let me explain.
Our bodies have been enslaved by the sedentary lifestyle the Western world leads, especially Americans. In fact, the NY Daily News reports late last year that Americans spend roughly forty hours a week watching television programming; that is not including time spent playing console video games, mobile devices, etc. Further, we’ve enslaved ourselves with addictions to various chemicals prescribed to us to treat health conditions which curiously enough are never cured. We’ve enslaved ourselves by not standing up and demanding change from our elected officials regarding the poisons in our municipal water supplies, the overwhelming amount of GMO food tyranny, pharmaceuticals that kill thousands of people each year with dangerous and horrific side effects, and experimental, unproven vaccinations. Yes, our bodies have been enslaved and we have done it to ourselves; we allowed it to happen.
Our minds have been enslaved, and have been molded for years to condition the way we think. We’ve stopped using any critical thinking skills we have, and are so easily led. We only need the latest celebrity gossip on our television sets (whose size is directly proportional to the size of our penis ) to be happy. We have allowed this! We allow ourselves to be desensitized and conditioned to seeing people killed and maimed and any other sort of grotesque immorality; and we demand more and more!
Americans’ spirits have been crushed and enslaved too. Too often the responses to injustices and corruption are “Yeah, I know, but…” or “What can I do about it? I’m just one person.” The spirit of giving in and knuckling under oppression and corruption is what led us to where we are today. Americans and Westerners need to wake up, shake the sleep from their eyes, and stand united and stop the injustices, stop the corruption. We have allowed the corporate media to define for us what is worth celebrating and what is worth lamenting. We need to say “Enough!” and demand an about face from this government, and fascist globalism before its too late.
